Biographical Note
As the author of this book I feel compelled to offer a disclaimer in advance to all of those who have received a copy. As an author I run the increased, inherent risk of appearing as if I may think that I "know it all". Let me be clear that this is definitely not the case. I am a self-proclaimed "Work-in-Progress" never to be completed. This entire book was birthed and inspired from all the lessons I've learned and continue to learn on my personal journey from ghetto broke to a "wildest dreams life," to almost losing it all and then rising again with a new vision to model servant leadership and create an undying legacy for the world to see and thereby be inspired. This book is anything but your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill book with a bunch of fluff and no real substance. This book contains some nuggets, take-aways, epiphanies and "aha" moments I developed during the roller coaster process of change I've experienced. The overwhelming majority of the entries in this book came from the many inspired writings in my personal journals over the period of the few years during my process of change. It bears repeating that this book is not meant to be about "me" but about the "process" and the power of positive change. This book is a compilation of conversations, special events, life lessons and defining moments that were captured throughout my everyday experiences from obscurity and insignificance to embarking on a journey of creating a life that really matters for the world. It also contains many entries from those who have followed me along this never-ending journey. I'm confident that any reader will find something that's useful and beneficial from the content contained herein. May this book instill hope in those whom hope is of short supply, and faith in those whose faith is diminishing, and give encouragement to those who are growing weary on their unpopular journey.
