【内容简介】

这套《跟外教学小学英语》系列共分六册,对应国内小学1-6 年级,以全彩色大字号大开本印制,便于小学生翻阅使用。《跟外教学小学英语》每册书中所使用的词汇、语法点及训练话题,均源自相应年级不同版本的教材,这样学生学起来难度适宜,而且也能学到同年级其他版本里的知识。

作者凯伦·史密斯根据自身多年的英语教学经验,针对各年级教材中的学习要点与词汇量,编写出这套《跟外教学小学英语》完全适合中国学生的英语同步训练辅导书。作者的编写方式灵活、颇有创意,将知识学习、语言训练与趣味活动融为一体。其首要目的是激发孩子们学习英语的热情与兴趣,而不是死学硬背。希望通过这套《跟外教学小学英语》,孩子们能真正掌握英语语言学习的规律,高效提升英语水平。


【作者简介】

凯伦·史密斯(Karen Smith),加拿大出生并长大。大学毕业后开始游历世界,在五个国家工作和生活过。在伦敦生活期间,她获得TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)证书。后移居澳大利亚,在悉尼从事六年的国际学生英语教学,并加入澳大利亚国籍。

此后她回到加拿大,在位于北极圈的育空地区工作,担任一家教育机构的经理,给成人讲授英语阅读与写作。她还来到乌干达,做了八年的志愿者,帮助当地妇女儿童接受教育。凯伦为中国读者写作了多部图书,目前居住于加拿大西部美丽的海滨城市维多利亚。

近些年,Holybird Publishing 策划出版了“西方原版教材与经典读物”数十种,这些书对许多英语学习者,尤其是准备出国留学的学生有很大帮助,得到了他们的认可。一些学校的英语老师还推荐学生作为课外读本。这一系列包括《美国语文》、《英国语文》、《Basic Readers》、《科学读本》、《美国少儿英语》、《美国学生历史》等。这些书以纯英文或中英双语形式出版,内容直接源于英语国家使用的教材与学生读本。让中国读者直接阅读这些原版读物,一方面可以让他们更加深度了解西方文化与社会背景;另一方面,帮助读者真正把握英语语言学习的规律,高效提升英语水平。

出版这些“洋书”的同时,Holybird 也一直在思考一个问题:如何为国内中小学阶段的孩子们学习学校的英语课本做点什么,让他们在应对学校英语考试的同时,真正培养语言学习的兴趣,奠定良好的英语基础,让今后的英语学习之路变得较为轻松容易。于是我们收集了中国不同省市所使用的小学英语课本,如人教版、外研版、清华版、牛津版等,与加拿大本地外教凯伦• 史密斯一起探讨,让她从一位英语母语者和ESL 教学者的角度,看看中国学生应该如何学好这些课本。

凯伦出生于加拿大,在英国获得英语语言教学的证书,在澳大利亚从事英语教学多年,并在乌干达做了八年志愿者,在当地学校讲授英语,具有丰富的英语教学经验,目前居住在加拿大美丽的维多利亚市。她对这一出版提议非常有兴趣,决定根据这些教材版本和其他教学资料, 按照中国小学英语的教学要求, 分年级编写一套学习指导书, 供中国小学生配套学习使用, 尤其是在每个年级结束之后,学生们可以作为系统回顾掌握每年级所学知识的检测读本, 为下一年级的英语学习打好基础,一步一个脚印。

这套《跟外教学小学英语》共六册,对应中国小学1-6 年级。每册所使用的词汇、语法点及训练话题,均源自相应年级不同版本的教材,这样学生学起来难度适宜,而且学到了同年级其他版本里的知识。作者的编写方式灵活、颇有创意,将知识学习、语言训练与趣味活动融为一体。

首要目的是激发孩子们学习英语的热情与兴趣,而不是死学硬背。书中的训练部分,也可供小学英语教师借鉴,在英语教学中吸收使用。此书可供小学各年级学生作为暑假集中训练英语的参考书,也可用于日常学习中配套的学习资料,做到活学活用。欢迎读者提出宝贵意见与建议。
