【内容】
本书在动态系统理论的视阈下,通过对四名英语学习者进行跟踪研究,对他们中介语发展的过程进行描述,并通过对比找出了个体内及个体间中介语发展的变异。本书所提出的二语发展路径强调了中介语发展高级阶段的主要任务是语言变式的分布和使用越来越接近目的语。本书还发现词汇深度知识的发展与句子结构的发展方式不同,总结出英语学习者中介语发展的四种类型,并通过实证方法探讨了造成中介语发展个体变异的影响因素,提出了造成中介语变异的高阶组合及主要影响因素。本书的研究发现有助于学界对二语习得发展规律的探讨,并对中国英语教学有一定的指导意义。
